Our story
Gardco Lighting was founded in San Francisco, California by Reed Gardner in 1961. Originally started as a custom lighting manufacturer, Gardco pioneered many of the outdoor lighting concepts, components and products that have become standards in the industry, including the "shoebox" luminaire, faceted optics, cutoff luminaires, glowtop products and the "template" method of designing outdoor lighting layouts.
Today, we continue to provide quality outdoor lighting instruments to the discerning professional lighting specifier.
